By hiring Monica Made It for your design project, you are agreeing to the terms of service as outlined below.  Should you have any questions before agreeing to these terms, please contact me.


Monica Made It is an independent contractor; and is not an employee, partner or affiliated with any company of you, the Client’s. Monica Made It will provide web, graphic, and print design services under your direction; however, Monica Made It retains the right to decide the manner and means that the services are accomplished.


Monday thru Friday from 10:00am to 7:00pm EST. Monica Made It is closed on Saturday, Sunday & Holidays. To keep a productive work flow going throughout the day, client calls & phone consultations are scheduled between 10:00am and 7:00pm EST Monday thru Friday unless other arrangements are made. Inquiries and requests during these times will be responded to within 24-48 hours. If you require emergency service outside of normal business hours, you will be billed a $25 “fix it” fee which is due at the time of service.


I prefer to communicate via email so that I’m able to keep an accurate account of all details for your project.  Email is my fastest form of communication. Once you have contacted me, you will get a response within 24-48 business hours. I ask that you promptly reply to all emails. It is important that we communicate often to get your project finished on schedule.


All payments are made through Square via an online invoice (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover accepted).  Fees to Monica Made It are due and payable on the following schedule:

Phase 1 – Deposit of 50% upon agreement of the design contract
Phase 2 – Optional partial payment if on payment plan 25%
Phase 3 – Final 25% or 50% once the project is complete

All unpaid balances over 14 days are subject to a late fee of 10% of the remaining balance, with a minimum charge of $25. If your project goes beyond schedule and over budget due to additional project elements, a new invoice for the additional work will be generated and the payments recalculated.


Due to the digital nature of the design services provided by Monica Made It, I am unable to offer refunds for design work.  All design work must be compensated for accordingly.  Under no circumstances will a refund of the 50% deposit be available once you have approved the work for your project. In the event that you are dissatisfied, you must contact me in writing. I am not able to refund for design work but I will gladly accommodate changes within reason if possible.


Most projects can be completed within 3 weeks. This is can change due to delayed communication, extra add-ons, unavailable content etc. Provided that you are ready to begin, have content readily available for use, and communicate, the time for completion can be improved.

It is vital that we have all the information relating to your project immediately upon receipt of your deposit, to begin the design process in the design process.

This could include:

  • Images/content for the front page/layout of your website
  • Answers to the design questionnaire you will be sent
  • Your current logo
  • Any other information that you would like used for the design of your website.
  • Hosting account information.

My schedule is carefully planned to allow a sufficient amount of time for each project to be completed.  If this important information is not ready in time, your project time line may be affected or you may lose your place in the project queue. All necessary resources must be emailed to us in a timely manner, otherwise we reserve the right to postpone work indefinitely.

In the event that your project goes on hold for a period exceeding 120 days, any online content (staging website) will be deleted.  No refund will be provided and you will not be able to apply the paid funds to a new project. A new project is a new project.  Should you return after 120 days and want to pick up where you left off, you will be required to pay the balance in full before work is to continue, plus an additional $100 retainer.


Monica Made It will give you the estimated project start and completion date at the time of scheduling. Monica Made It agrees to correct design errors you bring to our attention within 30 days after the design has been uploaded to your web space. These design errors include typos, bad links, or browser inconsistencies. This does not include changing the design, replacing images or any other content elements once the project is completed.

It is your responsibility to maintain your website after the design is uploaded if you have not retained Monica Made It for maintenance services. Maintenance services come in 2 packages as seen here.


I provide limited support via email after the project completion date for a period of 60, 90 or 120 days dependent upon the type of service provided. Support applies only to the functionality of a blog or website design and does not include or apply to: a complete site revamp; additional graphic(s) or a change to any graphic(s); content changes or additions; etc.


All content and images will be copy-written to you and are protected by U.S. Copyright law. None of the graphics, designs, layouts, formats or template codes may be altered, changed, shared or resold for any reason. You are only allowed to use the completed design on the site for which is was designed for. Use on multiple websites is not permitted (without my written consent, this does not included marketing or advertising the completed design). I respect the intellectual property of others and if you believe that you work has been used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact me immediately to rectify the situation.

As a standard practice, I include a link in the footer of all web design projects that reads “Designed by Monica Made It”. This designer copyright is simply a reference and easy way to refer clients to my business via the work I have done for your website.  In the event that you do not want this designer copyright visible in the footer of your website, there is a one time 100% upcharge (double the cost of your design project) which provides you with sole ownership of the completed design of your web site. Thus doing so, the “Designed by Monica Made It” copyright information will be completely removed from the public view of your website.  You will receive all accompanying design files as well.

Also as a standard practice, I will display all completed projects in my online portfolio (this includes my website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and/or Pinterest) as an example of my design work. If you do not wish to participate in this feature of MonicaMadeIt.com, please refer to the above details on the copyright fee.


Your privacy is very important to me. I will often request your username and password to various accounts while working with you. This information will never be shared with anyone else for any reason and will only be used for the purpose of completing your design project. You are welcome to temporarily change your password(s) while working with me.
